What does a typical NWU season look like?

A typical season within Northwest United lasts year round, starting June 1st and finishing between April or May. Our club offers multiple options, with our teams receiving professional training 2 times a week. Each teams' league games are played on the weekends across Washington State. Teams will be playing in the Regional Club League and the North Puget Sound Premier League. Within our club we also offer a number of programs such as: elite, technical and goalkeeping practices, goalkeeping and finishing camps, indoor futsal and additional seasonal soccer camps!

The breakdown for each age group is as follows:

U9/U10
Begins: First week of June - teams will have a team meeting in May, and start practicing the week of June 1st
Summer Tournaments: June-August, with 3-4 tournaments. Their first tournament is at home, the Skagit Firecracker, on June 16-18
Fall League: September-November, possibly the first weekend of December
Spring League: Starts January - March with State cup in May

Boys & Girls, U11-U14
Begins: First week of June - teams will have a team meeting in May, and start practicing the week of June 1st
Summer Tournaments: June-August with 4 tournaments. Their first tournament is at home, the Skagit Firecracker, on June 16-18
Fall League: September to November, possibly the first weekend of December
Spring League: January to Mid March
State Cup: Mid March to Mid April

Boys U15-U19
Begins: First week of June - teams will have a team meeting in May, and start practicing the week of June 1st
Summer Tournaments:June-August, 3 - 4 tournaments. Their first tournament is at home, the Skagit Firecracker, on June 16-18. They also have the possibility of playing Winter tournaments.
Fall League: September-November, possibly the first weekend of December
State Cup: January-February
Spring League: Does not participate, boys will be into High School season

Girls U15
BeginsFirst week of June - teams will have a team meeting in May, and start practicing the week of June 1st
Summer Tournaments:June-August, 3 - 4 tournaments. Their first tournament is at home, the Skagit Firecracker, on June 16-18. They also have the possibility of Winter tournaments.
Fall League: Will participate in "8th Grade Fall League" if there are enough teams within the league
Spring League: Main season, beginning early January (possibly mid-December) to March
State Cup: Mid March to Mid April

Girls U16-U19

Tuition and Team Fees

Cost

To play for Northwest United, our cost is split into two payments: Tuition fees and Team Fees.

Tuition Fees:

Tuition fees are club fees that are paid throughout the year, these are the fees you pay to help the club train and play. These fees include: Coaching Development, Coaching Fees, Northwest United Curriculum, Coaching Director Oversight & Training, Goalkeeper Trainings, Player Registration, Training and Field Use, Game fields at Skagit River Park, Ref Assignor, Administration and Field Development.
 

When joining a club team after tryouts, the registration fee is the first payment, due upon registrating for the club (deadline to register is May 31st). The remaining payments are split over the course of the year into 9 monthly payments.

Team Fees:

Team fees are what each player pays to their own team to help that team run throughout the season. These amounts change depending on age, level and size of the team. These include: Referee fees, tournament fees, uniform fees, team equipment, travel reimbursements and state cup. These fees will be confirmed in your team meeting!
